New Flexible Membership Option
The Centre de Santé de la Vallée Massawippi (CSVM) is pleased to announce a new membership option designed to provide greater flexibility and affordability while continuing to offer access to quality healthcare services.
Beginning on October 1, 2026 members may choose between two membership levels based on their healthcare needs.
Basic Membership (New)
This new membership option offers a lower annual fee while maintaining full access to Nurse Clinician services. This option excludes access to Nurse Practitioner services.
Membership fees:
- Adults: One-time purchase of 5 shares of the Cooperative at $10 each ($50), plus an annual membership fee of $250 (taxes included).
- Children aged 16 and under, living at the same address: Free.
- Full-time students aged 17 to 21, living at the same address: 50% discount on the annual adult fee.
Included Services
Members in this category continue to have full access to Nurse Clinicians, including services such as:
- Assessment and treatment of common conditions, including urinary tract infections, strep throat and ear infections
- Wound care
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Pediatric follow-up care
- Removal of stitches and staples
- Evaluation of common symptoms such as colds, flu and digestive illnesses
- Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) screening
- Blood draws and vaccinations
- Monitoring of chronic health conditions
This approach allows members who make less frequent use of advanced primary care services to benefit from a lower annual membership fee.
Full Membership (current)
Our current membership remains available and continues to provide comprehensive access to CSVM services with no additional fees for appointments with Nurse Clinicians and Nurse Practitioners. There may be some minor exceptions for certain services (typically some vaccines) not covered by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).
Membership fees:
- Adults: One-time purchase of 5 shares of the Cooperative at $10 each ($50), plus an annual membership fee of $390 (taxes included).
- Children aged 16 and under, living at the same address: Free.
- Full-time students aged 17 to 21, living at the same address: 50% discount on the annual adult fee. No share purchase required.
This option is ideal for members who want predictable healthcare costs and unlimited access to both Nurse Clinicians and Nurse Practitioner services.
Nurse Practitioner Services
Nurse Practitioners can provide many primary care services typically associated with family medicine, including:
- Physical examinations
- Diagnosis and treatment planning
- Prescribing and renewing medications
- Management of acute and chronic conditions
- Specialist referrals when appropriate
Changing Membership Levels
Members may upgrade from the Basic Membership to the Full Membership at any time by paying the difference in annual fees ($140, taxes included).
Members enrolled in the Full Membership may switch to the Basic Membership at their annual renewal date.
