The goal of the Centre de Santé de la Vallée Massawippi is to provide care with a team approach.
Think of the Centre itself as your doctor.
Our physicians will serve you even though they may not be your family doctor. Our electronic medical records system is available to all the health professionals who provide service. Our nurses practice in an expanded role where they can assist you with many minor health issues, thus avoiding a wait to see an MD. The nurse can also give information and guidance so that you can confidently take care of yourself at home. These are some of the many services covered by the co-op’s annual membership fee. In keeping with the Canada Health Act, a non-member can have access to a doctor only.
Nursing care
Nursing care includes blood pressure checks, dressing changes, ear irrigation, administration of vaccines (some vaccines provided by the member), tracking of baby growth rate and general health counselling.

Laboratory testing clinic
The lab testing clinic is open at 7:30 am Wednesday and at8:00 am Friday morning by appointment. Please bring your lab requisition. This service is included in membership fees and is therefore available to members only.
