Daniel Turp

Proud graduate of the University of Sherbrooke, Daniel Turp is Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal, where he taught from 1980 to 2020. He has expertise in international and constitutional law and has published many articles and works in these fields. He was deputy of the Chamber of Commons of Canada and the National Assembly of Quebec. He is also a musicologist with a particular interest in opera and lyrical art. He is President Emeritus of the Société pour les arts en milieu de santé, which he founded in 2009. He is a resident of Ayer’s Cliff and enjoys the beauty of its Lake Massawippi and the song of its loons.
